Lubuskie Region
is located in the western part of Poland and borders with Germany.
There are two main agglomeration centre: Gorzow Wielkopolski and Zielona Gora.
University of Zielona Gora compromises ten Faculties, which provide education for about 18 thousands students Students and academics have an opportunity to participate in international exchange programmers (i.e. Erasmus), staff exchange programs and research projects.
In 2010 University together with the regional authorities founded the Science and Technology Park. . The Park will operate in the fields of sustainable construction and energy innovative technologies for human health, IT technologies and technology transfer and cooperation between science and industry.
The mission is multidirectional, with special focus on steel engineering, steel fabricating electro engineering, galvanising companies offering their products and services for
- industrial and transport sectors
- commercial and building construction sectors
- bio energy sector - wind turbines manufacture and installers
- production and automation manufacturing sector
- general building suppliers, and
- agriculture suppliers,
The Polish food producers are also represented, offering their traditional meat, charcuterie and poultry products
